Malawi, Africa 2012

Lilongwe Malawi, Africa.  June 6-19, 2012.

This year’s trip to Malawi marks our seventh trip to the warm heart of Africa. Returning to Malawi has become our Macedonian Call, something we know God has called us to. Once again we partnered with the Rev. Kapalamula Banda lead Pastor of the churches we have started in Malawi. Nelly’s guest house has become our home while we minister in Malawi and as always they gave us exceptional service. Our mission objectives are as follows: Evangelism sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, we witnessed 9,755 people pray to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Second all missionaries work in discipleship, men usually teach the adults in doctrine, ladies generally teach the ladies and children. Third we help plant churches, and assist them with the funds to construct them. This year we helped Redemption, Enon, Chibwatta, Katchuno, Hope, Shady Dale in various construction projects. We also purchased land for and named Mount of Olives Baptist Church. Also we were able to purchase and share 200 song books and 628 Bibles. Many missionaries also left gifts such as hats, dresses, soccer balls, books, toys, food, flashlights and many other things. This year’s missionaries were: Mary Beth Cavner, Becky DeLisle, Don Hadley, Clyde Kemp, Glenda May, Bro. Jimmy May and Steve Messenger from Trinity Baptist Church; Leslie Christian, Megan Johnson and Stacy Redwine from Eastman Baptist Church; Tyler and Jan Shores from First Baptist Church of Wilson; Pastor Billy Galloska and Tabitha Coleman of Skyline Baptist Church of Benson, Arizona; Dennis Lopez from Shady Dale Baptist Church; Pastor Darryl Matthews of St. Marks Baptist Church of Tampa, Florida; Cathy McEwen form First Baptist Mustang and Pastor Jim Roluti from First Baptist Leon.
